Bi- color Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl with sharp artwork #6715

1. Best S 5 Small Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N118 Small Nepal Mallet

Bi-color Manipuri Lingam with bright coppery finish and a black bottom. The outside bottom of the bowl has rough metal indicative of it being used over a fire. The bowl appears to be unused with extensive extremely sharp artwork that includes a rare complete center star. The initial soundscape is wild with many tones going in their own directions. Over time the bowl mellows out to a soft flutter. Recording two shows a mellower side using a soft mallet. This bowl drove both of my tone software programs crazy giving different readings each strike. Sustain is ok to good. Due to how sharp the edge is this bowl cannot be played with a stick. A sharp looking bowl that will appeal to a particular ear. With overtones at A5, G#6, D#7.
