Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl that goes from wild to mellow #6743

6743 Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl that goes from wild to mellow #6743

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N101 Small Ringing Stick wood followed by FP Ebony Wand

Adorned Manipuri lingam with three sets of banded punch circles and the classical lingam exterior design. Beautiful example of this ceremonial style bowl. Initially wild and complex with a high frequency main tone, the soundscape simplifies quickly to an intensely fluttering main overtone and subtle next thig. Good longevity. Easy wood rim play. Basic wood for the overtone, wand for next high. A fine example of a thick, old well preserved Manipuri lingam. With overtones at C#6, B6, G7, C#8.
