Antique Thadobati Lingam Singing Bowl with penetrating high #2088
2088 Antique Thadobati Lingam Singing Bowl with penetrating high #2088
Small Thadobati Lingam bowl that has seen lots of use. The broad rim has deep incuse lines while the artwork around the tall lingam has been partially worn away.
An exceptional penetrating soundscape where the lightest tap brings out the pure high strike tone. The strike tone is complimented by a soft fleeting overtone. In the case of this bowl, however, the strike tone is enough. The suistain is short, really a bowl to enjoy with multiple taps. Much better to buy the precision mallet to play this bowl as it accentuates those subtle overtones. Not a stick bowl With overtones at G6, C#7.
