Extra large and extra thick Thadobati lingam with beautiful dark patina with various depths of color. The patina has this smooth textured feel, something that takes centuries to develop. Fortunately it has been preserved in this case. This incredibly heavy antique has a broad gently crushed rim with vestiges of lines etched into the top of it. The artist was quite deliberate in gathering the metal for the lingam so the indentation below the bowl is tiny. The lingam itself is dark with the top getting brighter and smoother. Originally the bowl had many interior circles, you can still see traces of a few. The lingam itself has protected the most inner circles so they can be seen clearly. Well balanced two tone soundscape, a rapidly pulsing fundamental and strong overtone that peeks through the sonic troughs of the main tone. Premium harmony, longevity a good half minute,.
