1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick wood followed by FP Massive Yew Wand then FP Massive Vermilion Wand |
Large extra thick Thadobati lingam bowl with sharp extensive artwork. Somehow this bowl has been passed down in large part unused. The circles inside around the lingam are deep and clear, very rare for old Lingam bowls. The exterior art, too is vlear. It has the classical features of a broad deeply crushed rim and the artist was quite deliberate in gathering the metal for the lingam. As well as passing my own tests, the bowl was certified antique by an expert in Nepal who is familiar with the many types of fake lingams finding their way into the market.
Exceptional soundscape, a touch of hollowness, fleeting overtones and a beautifully balanced main note with soothing even oscillations. Excellent longevity to go with the premium harmony. Rim play is all wood, there are three segments to the recording so you can hear the basic wood, softer and cleaner massive yew wand and brighter more active massive Vermillion. Exceptional soundscape in a rare Thadobati Lingam bowl. Spectacular looking bowl with an exceptional soundscape. With overtones at D#6, D7.
