Thick Adorned Antique Mani Singing Bowl with a dated inscription

6175 Thick Adorned Antique Mani Singing Bowl with a dated inscription

Thick smaller Mani with extensive artwork and rich dark patina. The bowl has an inscription on it with the date 23-5-83. Too bad they did not put a century or country on it. In Nepal where we found the bowl “83” on their calendar is the equivalent of 27 as in 1926, 1826, 1726 etc though I would be inclined to go with one of the later dated based on the rim type. Sweet dual tone start evolves into a single solid note. Longevity is fair while harmony is excellent. Even with its old patina this bowl is not a leather player. Wood works fine, massive yew being the smoothest. With overtone at A6.
