Large Thick Adorned Antique Mani Singing Bowl with Repaired rim #6241

Large old Mani well worn from use with a broad inner facing rim. That rim had a crack in it, now repaired.

High pitched soundscape with a strong woo-woo pulse to the main tone. Longevity is good, 30 seconds, but not up to the standard of most Mani that are so thick and heavy. The reason for this is the rim was once cracked, now repaired but that impacts the longevity. The bowl is marked down accordingly.

Fine rim play, both wood and leather play easily to whatever value level you wish. Either way the rim crack sings a higher note , though I would call that a feature rather than a problem as it goes great with the fundamental. Nonetheless n accordance with my policy of marking down less than perfection the bowl is on sale.. With overtones at F#6, F7.
