Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl with softly bouncing main tone

6705 Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl with softly bouncing main tone

Very bright Manipuri Lingam with just the last traces of extensive artwork. Even the lingam has been worn down from ceremonial use. Pure soundscape with a rock solid overtone and a softly bouncing primary note. Very good longevity, the notes hold their sound levels. Harmony is very good, too. This one takes a bit of perseverance to get the rim going. What you’ll hear is the primary overtone. In recording #2 I’ve nicked the rim at the end to tease out overtones. With overtones at A#5, A6, F7.
