8647 Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with high pitched flutter
Simple Manipuri with bold clear inscription. At one time this bowl had significant artwork, now, except for an inscription undoubtedly added much later it is largely worn away. High strike tone followed by a sweet overtone with a pronounced flutter. The bowl is pretty thin so the vibrations come through clearly on the bottom making this a good high pitched body bowl. Longevity is good for its size. Plays well with Frank Perry wands. With overtones at B5, A#6, F#7.
