8693 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a harmonious and complex tone set

Smoky patina Manipuri very smooth to the touch. Deeply incuse artwork on the bottom of the bowl remains. Harmonious and complex tone set with a soft low and strongly singing overtone with a touch of brassy reverb. The next high up is also a presence. Sustain is good, quite good for the small size. Plays great off the rim with wood, simple for lower, wand for higher. Volume is excellent as are the respective sustains With overtones at G5, F#6.
