8733 Tiny surprisingly powerful high pitched Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl
Smooth bright colored Manipuri with faint traces of artwork. This tiny bowl is on the thick side and feels heavy in the hand. Sweet high pitched soundscape with well balanced emerging overtones. The simple and smooth sound can be played with lots of power for high volume. Longevity is excellent for such a small bowl. For such a tiny bowl only a tiny wand will do for playing the rim. Purple Amaranth is easiest with the roughness of the grain grabbing the edge. Ebony takes a more delicate touch, the reward being smoother play and hints of more highs.. With overtones at D6, C#7.
