8778 Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with complex penetrating sounds

Bright Manipuri with punch circles inside and on the rim. The artwork is faint in spots from hand use. Penetrating soundscape with throaty complexity that is both harmonious and challenging to the ears. There are many notes to listen in to. Struck with a soft mallet the intensity is toned down significantly (second part recording 1). Longevity is good, especially for the size. .Plays ok off the rim, one note really, with small stick or wand With overtones at B5, B6, F7, F#7.
