8792 Bright Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with peacefully active complexity

Originally adorned bright colored Manipuri with many faint design features. A heavy bowl that originally must have had even more heft. Lots of different sounds jump off this bowl. Harmony is excellent so the complexity has a peaceful feel even though different notes have clearly distinct oscillations. The bass tone moves slowly which sets the feel for the bowl. Very good sustain. Really nice rim play with wood, very smooth. You can tease tremendous high overtone volume out with a wand (end recording 2). With overtones at E5, D#6, D#7.
