8798 Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with fast highs over a slow low
Thick heavy Manipuri with a wide rim sporting a full set of punch circles. Extensive clear external artwork is contrasted by an interior almost worn smooth. Still it is a very showy bowl. Penetrating soundscape where the high notes are active and clear. Their power is enhanced by the soft, slowly oscillating strike tone. An excellent bowl for body work,, helped along by the good internal harmony. Sustain is very good. Great bowl for rim play with wood. It is the kind of bowl you can slowly go around for continuous play, then let go for the long sustain. Spring for the full ten bucks for both the recommended ringing sticks. Note the next level high with N101. NOT a bowl for wands, though. With overtones at G5, F#6, D7.
