Worn Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with long lasting flutter

8904 Worn Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with long lasting flutter

Bright Manipuri with well preserved extensive exterior art with no trace of the matching artwork once inside. An unusual wear pattern. On top there are vestigial rim punch circles. The bowl has been worn so thin there are pressure creases. Complex initial soundscape simplifies into three, then two then one tone. That last tone, a high frequency flutter has a good long sustain. If you like that tone it is pretty much what you will get off the rim with good rim sustain. Not a wand bowl. With overtones at D#5, D#6, A#6. Perfect A3 (432 Hz Scale) – 216 Hz.
