8950 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with harmonious well balanced tones

Bright Manipuri, smooth to the touch, with faint traces of extensive interior etching – with the exception of a double set of high wall rim circles, the last feature to wear away on this old style.. Pleasing harmonious soundscape where a multitude of well balanced tones dance with each other, many with the same timing on their fairly rapid pulses. The overall effect is smooth due to that evenness. Very good sustain. Outstanding wood rim play, nice and smooth with all that complexity. Really sings the high notes with a harder wood wand (second part recording 2). Excellent rim volume and longevity With overtones at G#5, G6, D#7, A7.
