6709 Antique Manipuri Lingam Singing Bowl with throaty oscillating low.
Extra thick Manipuri Lingam with original patina. The extensive artwork is well preserved with evidence of wear on some interior features. The strongly oscillating primary tone has a lot of character, instead of being pure it is somewhat fuzzy giving the bowl a “throaty” sound. High above the overtones sing and flutter, while the primary tone predominates throughout the good sustain. Once you get it going the bowl plays nicely with leather. With wood, either a small stick or wand, the bowl is quick to go to volume at C#6. With overtones at C#5, C#6.
