8241 Unusual Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with broad rim

Unusual Manipuri bowl with a broad rim. Clean deep lines and a two character inscription. Clear sound that penetrates without excessive volume – even with a soft mallet. Good long lasting sound. The pure penetrating tone slides out of the bowl when rung with the wooden side of the stick.
