Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with gentle bass penetrating high #7031

7031 Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with gentle bass penetrating high #7031

1. Best S 9 Small Very High Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick wood followed by FP Ebony Wand

Thick hybrid style bowl, the flat bottom of a Thadobati among with the short sloped sides of a Manipuri. The bowl has clear well worn artwork. A gentle fundamental tone flutter is overshadowed by a penetrating high pitched overtone. It is unusual for such a tone to fill the auditory field. Sustain is good as that overtone stays in play throughout. Fine rim play. Fundamental with simple wood, overtones with wands, fastest to volume with ebony, fine with kingwood. With overtones at G#6, G7, D8.
