80081 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with pulsing bass and fluttering overtone #80081

1. Best S 5 Small Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand

Old Manipuri very worn from long use with some remaining formerly quite elaborate etching. The bowl is clean and smooth. It has a hairline crack at the bottom in a non-sonic area. Pulsing bass and fluttering overtone, balanced with good harmony and a fine sustain. At the end what is left is overtone. Fine rim play, both wood and leather with the stick, bass and overtone mix. For a pure next high go with a tiny wand. Fine price lower for the physical flaw. With overtones at F#5, F6. Middle C – A432 Scale – 256 Hz.
