Beautifully worn old Manipuri bowl smooth and bright. This bowl was originally quite a bit thicker, all the interior artwork is gone, the wide sharp rim is worn down to a nub (easier for stick play!), and the exterior lines are shadows of their former bold selves. It also has a S shaped crack in the sidewall. Strong woo-woo bass and twirling overtone play together with premium harmony with very good longevity. A nicely balanced soundscape. Great rim play, smooth and easy excellent sustain. Very controllable. Basic wood for the lows, ebony wand for the highs. This is a premium bowl, Marked down 50% for the highly visible S shaped crack. Flaw could be a feature for someone whose name starts with S. With overtones at A#5, A6.
