Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with relatively deep and solid bass #80174

1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather then wood

Thin Manipuri worn smooth from long use with mixed patina.

Very deep bass note for such a small bowl, it plays solidly under an overtone which eventually comes to the fore. Both tones are there at the end of the good sustain.

The deep bas can be teased off the rim with leather. Simple wood spins out an intense multi layered sound.. With overtones at B4, A#5.
