Large Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with sequentially unfolding tones #8336

1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather then wood

Balanced and harmonious soundscape. The first sound you hear is the first overtone at D5, clear as a bell. As that note settles down the solid bass strike tone becomes evident as well as the active second overtone. The bowl has many overtones, almost a dozen. When tapped the bowl has excellent sustain. When played with a stick the sustain provides a long tail once you lift off the bowl. Easy stick play with both leather and wood. With overtones at G#4, D5, C#6, D#7.
