Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl that settles to three tones
8535 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl that settles to three tones
Manipuri with original patina worn smooth from use. Brassy sounding at the start with lots of complexity the bowl settles into a clear three tone active sustain. The soundscape has a dozen tones at the outset and it is unusual how they resolve, nice effect if you are looking for a bowl with many points of connection that later delivers you to a more focused place. A bit slow to volume off the rim, the bowl sings well once you get it going. Good rim sustain, overtone centric. With overtones at E5, D6, A#6, F7.
