Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with peaceful bass supplanted by overtones #8541

8541 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with peaceful bass supplanted by overtones #8541

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand

Larger Manipuri with the vestiges of elaborate etching and a long clear inscription added at a later time. Very nice even patina. Bowl acquired by Best Singing Bowls in 2014. A solid and peaceful bass is supplanted over time by pulsing and singing overtones. A very nice effect as the bowl travels through its quite good sustain. Fine harmony as well even as the oscillation patterns diverge. Fine rim play, bass with not so much volume with leather, overtones strongly and cleanly with simple wood and wands. With overtones at E5, D#6, B6.
