Extra-thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with Solid high fundamental #8717

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single then multiple taps.
2. Rim Play: N101 Small Ringing Stick wood

Unusual extra-thick Manipuri with many clear etching lines inside and out. The bowl has a greenish color to it and looks as though it may have been cast from the exterior texture. Solid high fundamental tone with a few short lived accompaniments. Nice harmony. Very short sustain. The recording has a section with multiple strikes where you can keep that simple high note going. Rim is a bit tough to play, you can get it going and keep the E6 overtone singing. Almost as soon as you lift off the rim it fades. With overtones at E6, D7, B5.
