Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a high pitched cacophony

8728 Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a high pitched cacophony
1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: FP Ebony Wand |
Flare lipped Manipuri with extensive exterior artwork and dark patina. This old style bowl is worn entirely smooth inside. Initially cacophanous, the bowl quickly settles down to reveal a main fluttering overtone. That overtone has quite interesting legs, lasting much longer than you might expect based on how quickly the rest of the sounds disappear. The rim takes a bit of time to get going, the reward being that C#6 overtone. Only works with the hardest wands. With overtones at C#6, C7, D8.
