Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with steady bass tone and overtone #9010
9010 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with steady bass tone and overtone #9010
1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Massive Yew Wand |
Large thick Manipuri with Brassy patina some nice artwork and a broad rim. Very steady soundscape with a solid bass tone and solid overtone as well. They both continue to the end of the sustain. Sandwiched in the middle is a slightly more active note which dissipates. Longevity is fair, harmony is premium. Lots of power off the rim, bass, overtone and second high all play cleanly. I strongly recommend the massive yew wand, it plays this thick bowl like a dream. With overtones at G5, G6, D7, G#7.
