Thick brilliantly polished Manipuri with simple classical lines. It has a smooth as silk feel, from the many hand polishings that have imparted a deep mirror finish. There is a short etched inscription over what was originally etched exterior lines. A rare find. Complex and balanced soundscape with at least three tones in easy awareness and many more a subtle presence. They pulse and sing throughout the quite good sustain. The polished rim makes spinning with wood silky smooth, just bit of the fundamental with the overtone with basic wood and second overtone with the hard ebony wand. With overtones at A5, G#6, E7, A#7.
