Large Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with very deep bass
9251 Large Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with very deep bass
1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by wood |
Very large bright Manipuri with a round of punch circles at the bottom of the bowl – all that remains of its original elaborate artwork. Very deep bass, almost as low as Manipuri go that is quickly superseded by a fluttering overtone. That note has great longevity and is basically all to be heard as the sustain unrolls. This is a fine bowl to have at the bottom of a sequence is you’re interested in flowing quickly into the higher notes. with leather you can softly start with the low bass, the recording is an uninterrupted spin, listen to how the bass transforms into the overtone. Next note up when you flip to the wood side. With overtones at C3, D5, A#5, E6.
