Large X-Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with Clear three tones #9255

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick wood

Large extra thick Manipuri, likely of Indian origin, with extremely sharp etching and a broad decorated rim. The bowl is worn black outside and brassy inside.

Clear three tone soundscape which evolves with higher tones emerging more prominently over time. Very good harmony and sustain.

A wood stick is the way to play the sharp rim. Just the overtones. Massive yew is a bit quieter than the basic stick. With overtones at D#5, D#6, A#6, F7.
