Large Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl that has a deep bass tone #9257

1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather

Large Manipuri worn almost smooth with uneven patina. The bowl has a heavy solid feel.

Swirling deep bass with a solid overtone that gives way to the next level high. The bass which straddles the edge between D# and E continues throughout the good sustain. Very good harmony.

While you can tease out the low , the nicest way to play the rim is the overtone with leather. Bass is soft and challenging to isolate. Rim is too rough for wands. With overtones at A#4, A5.
