Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a sweet 6th octave overtone #9280

1. Best S 9 Small Very High Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N101 Small Ringing Stick wood followed by FP Ebony Wand

Tiny Manipuri with traces of what was once banded circle pattern interior artwork. What remains are the punch circles, not the more lightly applied detail. The rim has the center of the punch dots visible, the indicator of a once thicker bowl. This tiny singing bowl has a rounded shape.

Rapid softly fluttering high primary tone complimented by a sweetly singing 6th octave overtone that plays throughout the whole length of the sustain. Very resonant, complex soundscape. Longevity is quite good for such a small high bowl. Rim play is overtones, only with wood. Basic wood gives a pure C6 while a hard wand plays tastes of the rest of the soundscape. Fine rim longevity. With overtones at B5, B6, G7.
