Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a sweet 6th octave overtone

9280 Tiny Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a sweet 6th octave overtone

Tiny Manipuri with traces of what was once extensive interior artwork. The bowl has a rounded shape and was originally somewhat thicker. Rapid softly fluttering high primary tone complimented by a sweetly singing 6th octave overtone that plays throughout the whole length of the sustain. Very resonant, complex soundscape. Longevity is quite good for such a small high bowl. Rim play is overtones, only with wood. Basic wood gives a pure C6 while a hard wand plays tastes of the rest of the soundscape. Fine rim longevity. With overtones at B5, B6, G7.
