Polished Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with Bengali inscription #9292

1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand

Smooth Manipuri with bright consistent coloration. The bowl has an inscription in Bengali, script – big and clear. It says HEMAVATI which is a woman’s name.

Active double fluttering soundscape where two main tones oscillate within a tight range. Fine effect. Very good harmony, ok longevity.

Good wood rim play. The overtone plays with a simple stick, second overtone somewhat more easily to high volume with a tiny wand. Aright well cared for old bowl with a clear inscription.. With overtones at A#5, A6, A7.
