Thick Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with softly pulsing sound

9363 Thick Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with softly pulsing sound

Manipuri with sharp interior artwork. This is a rare example of a clear five pointed star inside a set of punch circles. There bowl is well made with some exterior art but not as elaborate as some of the most ancient bowls. Softly pulsing soundscape, less than two revolutions per second, with a solid high that outlasts the bass. Very good longevity. Incredible rim longevity when played with leather. The bowl slowly picks up volume and releases it even more slowly. Very smooth, overtones only. with simple wood it plays the same as leather so why bother with that side of the stick… Overtones with a hard wand. With overtones at E5, E6, B6, F7.
