Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with three clear tones #9399
9399 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with three clear tones #9399
1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Tiny Yew Wand |
Larger Manipuri with the vestiges of elaborate etching remaining in the low spots at the bottom. This bowl was originally much thicker as evidenced by the rim dots that used to be the center of full circles. A resonant and somewhat discordant bowl with three clear tones each sort of going their own way. Excellent longevity. Fine rim play, soft bass with leather and more powerful overtones with wood. With overtones at C5, B5, G6, C#7.
