Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with brassy active tones #9436

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand

Manipuri on the thick side with worn but clear artwork and creamy patina. The bowl has a thick rim and a bit of flare to its shape.

Brassy and active soundscape where the higher notes fade back leaving the solid bass to slide on through the end. Fine harmony and sustain.

Excellent rim play with a simple stick, then a wand adds the next higher dimension. Leather easily plays bass while wood spins the first overtone, A tiny wand hits the overtone above that with a taste of the next partial above. Rim sustain is very good.. With overtones at G#5, G6, D#7, G7.
