Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a fluttering main frequency
9456 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a fluttering main frequency
Silky smooth Manipuri with traces of interior art and many worn exterior lines. The bowl is a mix of smoky and dark patina, quite a pleasant antique look. Highly active fluttering soundscape where both the main frequency and primary overtone are full of activity. Very good harmony, excellent sustain. Just great off the rim with wood, smooth and easy to play. Really special with a wand – the overtone has an almost otherworldly metallic ring (second half recording 2). With overtones at F5, E6, C7.
