Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with resonant fluttering bass tone #9694

9694 Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with resonant fluttering bass tone #9694

1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand

Thick larger Manipuri almost worn smooth inside with sharp artwork on the rim and exterior. This unusual wear pattern shows off the old elaborate punch and leaf exterior motif. Resonant with a strongly fluttering fundamental tone. Fine longevity as the notes stay together to the end. There is a brassy edge to the sandscape, texture with a visceral quality. The sharp rim does not allow for leather play, wood and wand spin the overtone and next high respectively. With overtones at F#5, F6, C#7.
