Antique Punch and leaf Manipuri Singing Bowl with a loping overtone #9737

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand

Very worn punch and leaf design Manipuri with original patina. The bowl has faint dots inside, what is left of a once elaborate design. It has the perfect rim for spinning the sound out.

Solid strong initial bass quickly vanishes and leaves a slowly loping overtone which lasts a surprisingly long time. Good harmony.

Spectacular rim play with a simple stick, then a wand adds the next dimension. Leather for a nice strong pure low and first overtone, Wood for the next high, wand for the overtone above that.. With overtones at D5, D6, A6, D#7.
