Super heavy extra thick low Manipuri with a flat bottom. The bowl is devoid of etching and smooth to the touch. It could be a modern bowl though the patina would support antique status. Whatever the provenance it is a rare 528 Hz Solfeggio bowl. Brassy and intense, all that metal vibrates powerfully for a brief period then falls to silence. with multiple taps you hear the Solfeggio fundamental over and over. Fine rim play. Fundamental with simple wood, overtone with a wand. Smooth and good volume. With overtone at E6. Solfeggio – MI 528 Hz.
