Polished thick Manipuri, once elaborately adorned and now the only artwork remaining are the punch circles on the rim. and a faint interior punch circle. Strong three tone soundscape which changes over time. It starts complex with a good measure of bass, then the overtones, especially the second one become prominent and initially the steady first overtone is what remains. Quite good sustain and harmony. Rim play is first overtone with simple wood, next level tones with a hard tiny wand. Nice intensity and sustain. Much better to purchase the specified precision mallet to get the most out of this bowl. With overtones at D5, C#6, A6.
