Tiny Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with an energizing soundscape #9938

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap.

Nicely adorned Manipuri with very well preserved artwork. This bright brassy bowl has punch circles inside and around the rim. Jangly and wild with lots of activity in an energizing soundscape. Plenty of complexity, too. Quite good sustain where even late into it the wildness is evident. The rim is sharp, you can get a bit of sound from it but I’d stick to mallet play. With overtones at A#5, A6, A6.
