Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with woo woo bass #9980
9980 Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with woo woo bass #9980
1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N101 Small Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand played for primary then second overtone |
Manipuri with a bit of remaining elaborate etching. The dots on the rim show how much metal has been worn away as they were originally the center of circles. Brassy and complex to start this bowl mixes a woo woo bass with other active tones. Over time the pulsing bass and subtle high become less prominent but never disappear. Very good sustain and premium harmony. A challenging rim to play not much sound from leather and more with wood and wand. With overtones at F#5, E6, C7. Middle C – A432 Scale – 256 Hz.
