Thin and for the most part shiny Manipuri worn smooth from use. Sonorous and deep with slowly oscillating notes, very peaceful. Harmony is premium, quite rare in a smaller low third octave Manipuri. Sustain is ok. Rim play is spectacular. Not only is the bowl able to be played bass or overtone with leather – extremely rare in this size, tone and style but with wood you can tease out overtones all the way up to the 5th one. Really impressive. Rated exceptional. With overtones at A#4, A#5, E6, B6.
