Ceremonial Antique Pedestal Singing Bowl with extra high strike tone
6830 Ceremonial Antique Pedestal Singing Bowl with extra high strike tone
1. Best S 9 Small Very High Mallet followed by S 5 single tap. |
2. Rim Play: FP Massive Yew Wand wood then leather followed by FP Yew Wand wood |
Incredibly thick Pedestal / Naga with a brassy sheen that makes me think the bowl was once varnished. This type singing bowl is made for ceremonial purposes where special treatment is often applied. Very high primary note with a single clear 7th octave overtone. Short sustain due to the thickness. A sharp rim makes stick play challenging. Best bet is the massive yew wand, With overtones at C#7, G6, B7.
