Large pedestal bowl with rich consistent patina of different shades inside and out. The bowl has worn etching and a long inscription. Woo-woo bass strong and regular plays throughout a very good sustain. Two fluttering overtones compliment the fundamental. There is a small sonic flaw discernable at the beginning. Interestingly this can be minimized by playing the bowl holding the stand. Very good longevity. Spectacular rim play, something to be expected of this style and size bowl. With leather the pure bass can be played, quite strongly. A mix of bass and overtone with simple wood. A tiny wand spins overtones 1 and 2 with a n emphasis on the higher tone. Outstanding rim sustain. Marked down slightly for the flaw. With overtones at G5, F#6, D7, G7.
