Huge Pedestal bowl with extra thick walls. This one is about as big and heavy as they get. The bowl is bright, almost polished with lots of wear on the etched lines. Incredibly powerful sound, just so much metal vibrating. The primary tone has is a solid presence while the overtone has a gentle woo-woo oscillation. Both notes play throughout the excellent sustain. Premium harmony. Incredible off the rim. With a big stick leather will smoothly play the bass tone, with a small stick leather will sing out the oscillating overtone. No need for wood at all – so buy both N101 and N103. Great rim longevity.
