Very large Rajasthani origin bowl with a bright interior graced by clear deep etching and rich dark exterior coloration. The bowl is extra thick and heavy, at almost 11 inches the size of a pretty large Jambati. The style has a flat stable bottom. Complex soundscape with a strong woo-woo overtone, subtle deep bass and pleasing metallic next high. Excellent sustain, the initial sound pattern of the two deepest notes continues throughout. Great rim play, the peacefully pulsing bass and overtone arise quickly, smoothly and with excellent volume and sustain. The bass is visceral if you are holding the bowl. A great value for a big adorned bowl. With overtones at G4, F#5, D6.
