This bowl is very thick for the style and was finely crafted with a clear two texture exterior, The deliberately rougher part is a marvel of subtle metalwork. Richly textured soundscape with a gentle rapidly pulsing prominent overtone playing above a solid A. Two other overtone can be heard in the background. Excellent longevity as well as projection of energy into the bottom of the bowl. This bowl has mass and it is put to excellent use. Rated exceptional for the sound quality. Fine rim play. Good bass volume can be played with leather, with wood the bowl sings out with high intensity, first and second overtone. The edge is sharp so the soft yew wand is best. Excellent rim longevity.
